Consider Taryn and David. This couple hosted a sit-down dinner for 250 people following their wedding ceremony. Each guest requested one of three entrée choices on their rsvp cards. Taryn wondered how to let the servers know which guests ordered the chicken entrée, who selected the beef entrée, and who needed the vegetarian option.
Taryn wanted a consistent look to the tables, so we opted to design a place card that changed out the ribbon as the embellishment. We used Taryn and David’s wedding colors to accent the place cards. A green ribbon on the place card instructed the server to bring chicken. A gold ribbon meant beef, and a black ribbon was for the vegetarian dish.
Place cards can also be used as food labels for buffet style serving. By labeling the food, there is no question regarding what the food item is. Food labels are especially useful for labeling assortments of smaller finger foods and buffet-type meals.
You can use place cards, or food labels as a way to continue your wedding theme, and add color and style to your table.
With the multitude of options available for these functional and fun cards, these cards can be a fun way to enhance your special event.
